memorial day events

Mostly spending a busy weekend at the store!! Monday we are having friends over ( to the tune of @40) for a BBQ, hoping the weather holds! I rented a Sno Cone machine, one of the heavy duty carnival types, can't wait to use that! I tried to get a pony for the day but wasn't successful, oh well, the kids would've loved that.
We were hoping to install our fence along the side yard, but we are still waiting for the permit from the city, ugh.... Guess Rob escapes that work for a little bit longer.
Jacob has a parade Monday morning, walking with his little league team. The pool officially opens, but it is supposed to be only 59 degrees, but this is OHIO and could change by then.
The countdown to the end of school is on: 8 school days left!
The pictures were from Jacob's first school play, he even had a speaking part!
Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
UPCOMING CLASSES I'm teaching: Wedding Pages and Playful Penguin Cards (using new Memory Box acrylics)

our zoo walk

Saturday's Great Strides walk at the zoo was so much fun! Look how cute everyone looks in their shirts and the guest of honor, Porter, was a trooper! We walked the zoo in an hour and a half and then had lunch, Outback Steakhouse and Chipotle donated our food! It was nice to be with friends for the morning!

happenings

Finishing up WEEK 5 of kickboxing! Sophie is potty-trained (except at naps and nights)! I've gotten all my flowers and vegetables planted! The store is doing well, keeping me busy with new stuff rolling in all the time. New this week: Memory Box, it's adorable!

Tomorrow we are heading to the Cleveland Zoo for a walk to benefit Cystic Fibrosis (CF). We have close friends at church whose little boy was diagnosed a couple months ago, he is just a year old. They had cute t-shirts designed for the walk - and we'll be sporting ours! Read about him at www.porterssupporters.org !

To support our neighbor's little league team - we purchased bowling tickets! We had so much fun - it was Sophie's first time in "the shoes". She did really good, at times beating Jacob!

mom's day

I had a great Mother's Day. Went to church, the kids sang and Sophie made an adorable craft! The kids gave me a whole box of fine truffles (kickboxing down the drain). I had a nice long nap too! Now I plan to scrapbook!

Weather is beautiful here today, not a cloud in the sky! This week I plan to get my flowers planted out front: tons of geraniums!

Happy Mother's Day to my MOM!

week 4 & day 5

Week 4 of kickboxing is drawing to an end and I can honestly say that I'm now enjoying it! I feel stronger and it is a great stress reliever! I never thought I would look forward to MWF mornings!

Day 5 of potty training and we are having great success! Sophie was ready and when they are ready it is much easier! She is going while we are out shopping and even comes inside when she's playing outside to go!

In other news....we are making an adorable Mother's Day gift at the store on Saturday, so far we have 7 kids signed up - should be lots of fun! Busy with more new products rolling in: Around the Block arrived yesterday awaiting Paper Salon (the Karen N. collection)!

We are now carrying these beautiful frames! They are huge wood shadow box type frames, you pick your color and your quote and place a picture under the photo corners, I loved them so much I bought two! Order Today!

The store received its Scenic Route order, new Girl Scout and Brownie papers from K&Co. and beautiful new Anna Griffin papers. Next to come in: more Technique Tuesday stamps and cute new Bazzill Cardstocks with an edge.....

posting from the potty

We are currently in the potty-training trenches. Only 1 diaper left, and I refuse to buy more. She's going off 'em cold turkey! Your prayers will be appreciated.

steph's scrapbook store open for business

BEFORE & AFTER

Found these adorable things in Pottery Barn (thanks to Karen Russell's blog)! Wasn't sure what I was going to do with them - but have found their purpose. My basement will be started by the end of the month and they will be adorable in there. Notice that the smaller one has lots of space left to fill, it will be cute on my big workspace island! See Rob - I don't have that much stuff! Stephanie's Store is open for business, ha!
