knitting corner....

I seem to be taking over every bit of space in our basement! Just picked up this adorable cabinet at a local antique shop. Perfect for holding my yarn and patterns.

more vacation...

A picture of the pink & green purse Mom&I did for my aunt Marilyn - it turned out adorable!
The top three pix are at Nantucket (docks and 2 shops). Jake walking at Hardings Beach in Chatham. Our adorable and comfy townhouse for the week!

Cape Cod 2008

We just returned from vacation! The weather was perfect 85 degrees and no humidity! The ocean water was warm and the kids enjoyed the beach more than ever! Sophie is even a surfer girl this year. We spent the week in Chatham! There is a great flea market at the Welfleet drive-in where I picked up some adorable things (mostly antique buttons and a cute tote made from printed tarps). We ate yummy fried seafood and crab cakes all week and lots of homemade ice-cream. On Thursday we ferried over to Nantucket for a day of more shopping and the kids visited the Whale Museum (Sophie is still saying "There she BLOWS!). Nantucket was sooo charming with its cobblestone and brick streets and boutiques. Dad kept saying "I am the man from Nantucket" all day. The kids enjoyed the hour long ferry and even sat up on the deck~

My baby cousin, Lauryn celebrated her 1st birthday - we had a party and she LOVED it! So happy we could spend time together with family.

Mom and I enjoyed knitting together and even scoped out a couple of local yarn shops. All in All a beautiful vacation and the countdown is on for next year, ha! More pix later...
