another project

These were fun, fast and easy. Bought a set of nesting paper mache hat boxes, painted them and used tons of black rub-ons. Finish off with a wooden nob on top!

a promised layout

Saw this one in a recent issue of Simple Scrapbooks, had the perfect pics for it and couldn't resist lifting it!

i love a creative mess

Busy with lots of projects and new products. Found these ribbons at Michael's and I LOVE them, don't know which one to use first. I'm working on some upcoming project kits, they will be simple and fun. Also, trying to catch up on my own scrapbooking, I'm currently working on our Cape Cod vacation photos, compiling them into a Heidi Swapp 9x9 album. TGIFriday!

feeling motivated

I'm really in the mood to create today! I've gotten some awesome new products this week, thanks to a shopping trip with the girls to HOBBY LOBBY. I loved that store and what was best about it - everything I bought was 50% off, what a steal. However, still haven't gotten my hands on the new Grateful line of KI, will be perfect for my Gratitude Journal class.

My page kits have really been a success! I'm going to debut another set next week and soon to follow a project kit as well. In love with my Cricut - never knew cutting paper could be so fun, it is so versatile!

Hope to post some pictures soon of all my new layouts with the cool new products!

this week.....

We have a dinner on Saturday at church and I was put in charge of table decorations, fortunately my friend Karolyn came over to help me out today! The theme for the dinner is "Charity Never Faileth," one of my favorite sayings. It has proven to be a difficult task with a budget of $40 to do 25 tables plus the serving tables!

Fall is definately here today, Sophie and I bought some pumpkins, we couldn't stop at one. Try this: Using Rub-ons on your pumpkins, cute idea~ October is a big birthday month: Mom, Eric and Jacob, so I always like to deck the house with fall things, especially fresh pumpkins and gourds.

It's clam-bake time around here as well, we are heading over to our friends, the Hartmans, for their annual cookout, I hope to find some good apple cider to take with us.

gratitude journal

First class that I'm teaching at my house. Friday, November 3, from 7-10pm.! Love this little journal, we recently did a similar one at our church's "Craft Day" with my good friend Karolyn. Thought it would be nice to have for Thanksgiving and a great gift too! It's a 20 page, 6 x 6 album with lots of new papers and some old faves (Basic Grey, Daisy D's, Flair, KI).

3 new page kits

Are now available for order! These were fun, and I got tons of use out of my new Cricut - you can purchase all three kits for $25 or $10 each. All kits are 2-page layouts, 12 x 12.

fall is in the air

Took the kids over to Mapleside, a favorite orchard in Brunswick, for their annual Johnny Appleseed Festival. The kids enjoyed the apples and the shopping too! Fall is definately my favorite time of year!

September 11...in memory of Rudie

September 11 is a day for me to remember for 2 reasons: (1) the horrible acts of terriorism that took place, affecting the lives of every American, (2) my great-grandmother Ruth's birthday. Rudie would be 99 this year, she passed away three years ago at 96 - I still miss her and something reminds me of her almost every day. She loved life, she loved birthdays, celebrations for her birthday would last a month or more! Maybe 9.11 will be made a holiday and that would be fitting, because Rudie's birthday was a holiday to us all!

3rd and final post of the day.....

My aunt Marilyn just got married {to a great guy}, and I really wanted to get her a special present to mark this special event. Well, what do you get this gorgeous, sweet girl that she doesn't already have! I received the wedding pix. online through the Kodak Gallery and thought I would try my hand at creating a book for her, always wanted to try out the feature. So I chose a simple black linen album, was able to "charcoal" the edges of the photos and I must say, it turned out nice. I hope she likes it, too!

in love with 8.5 x 11 pages!

Cropped til 2 a.m. - that's right 2 a.m., as in the morning, as into Saturday morning from Friday night! Can't remember the last time I stayed up that late, I'm not creative at night, I'm asleep!!!
Anyway, it has been 10 years this month that I have been scrapbooking, started my first year at BYU in Provo, UT. Pebbles in My Pocket was just a tiny, white frame house on University Ave., and the main attraction: Die-Cuts ( we had to have every shape and every color)! Can't believe the changes in 10 years, so funny to look back at my first pages, what was I thinking. All that aside, I still love this hobby and my hubby can't complain that "I never finish anything I'm working on", because you never finish scrapbooking - life is always happening!!!!!

I've come full-circle, back to the 8.5 x 11 pages, I'd forgotten how quick and easy they are. Plus, with digitial cameras, aren't we taking better pictures, and don't need a ton on a 12 x 12?! These pages were our "challenge" to each other at the crop. We just simply flipped through pages of magazines and challenged each other to "lift" it using the supplies we had with us! Gotta say, these are my latest new faves.

organization tools

Spent all of Saturday morning organizing my scrap space - what a good feeling. I love to organize and to find new uses for old things. One of my favorite finds is this old toolbox, it is perfect for a scrapper's tools. Of course my metal tins (thanks Ali E.) are perfect for small embellishments and chipboard shapes. Now that everything is in its place, there is room for more}!
