busy with this and that....

I've taken up another hobby (because I have so much time on my hands, Ha) - KNITTING! I'm hooked, ha again! This was my first project, a scarf for my grandmother's birthday and I'm happy to report it is finished and in the mail! I'm going to make a couple more scarves just be sure I've really got the hang of it and then I'm on to purses (of course). I'm addicted to a local store in Avon, called Birds of a Feather, it is a barn filled with fabrics and yarns.

Rob and Jacob have also taken up another hobby of their own - Pinewood Derby Car Builders! What you are seeing is Jacob's first car and race - unfortunately he didn't win, but he really had fun designing the car. He did all the painting and decals on his own and was so proud of it. Maybe next year Jake.

Sophie hasn't gone a day without her High School Musical souvenir hat - she's such a diva!

On Ice!

Went to see this last night! Rob was able to get us 4 tickets to the firm's suite at the Q - a rare thing! The kids had a blast and I must admit, that I'm a HUGE fan too! We had a nice night - great food and of course, t-shirts and hats came home with us.

oh well...

Bucks lost last night! But at least we enjoyed these Buckeye Balls! I'm not really an Ohio State Fan, (Go HOOS)but any reason to make Buckeye Balls and I'm there! Actually we call them Peanut Butter Balls in VA, go figure! My aunt Theresa has been making them for years at Christmas!

Finally getting my BELIEVE book put together, it has been fun, still have further embellishing to do! Experimented with KI's new lace cardstock and I LOVE it!

vinyl tree & Upcoming Class!

I've finally gotten around to taking a picture of my adorable vinyl family tree! Lexi and I played around with some fun fonts one day and designed this for my landing - I've been wanting something there and it is to low for pictures! This was really easy to put up! Order yours today: http://www.simplysaidwalldecor.com/ ! Remeber you can even get it bigger!

Also, I was inspired by Simple Scrapbooks special issue, Album Shortcuts, and designed this "Everyday Gifts" mini-album! I'm teaching it February 2 at Scraptacular! I think it would be a great Valentines' Day gift, especially for the hubby! The album is a 6 x6 metal Pinecone Press, and we will be using multiple techniques, including stamping! It is $35 for a total of 10 pages, cover, and CD (that holds the pix in your album).
